Takeshi Kaneshiro's Golden Horse Nomination Retracted

Taiwan Golden Horse Awards committee had retracted Takeshi Kaneshiro's nomination for "Best Local Outstanding Movie contributor" award in the movie "The Warlords", after his "half" nationality brought about strong protest .The nominee for this award had to be a Taiwanese citizen. And Takeshi Kaneshiro, born and raised in Taiwan to a Taiwanese mother & Japanese father, is apparently a Japanese citizen.

The Golden Horse Awards committee had initiated the nomination based on Takeshi's profile filed in the movie, which listed him as a Taiwanese. The committee expressed regrets but recognises Takeshi Kaneshiro's performance in the movie.
