Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon First Public Appearance After Marriage

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon make their first public appearance together as a newly married couple at Time’s “100 Most Influential People in the World” gala at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City on Thursday.

Mariah performed at the event, which celebrated the most influential people on the planet, as selected by the the magazine.
Mariah, 38, and Nick, 27, tied the knot last week in the Bahamas. Mariah Carey will soon make her first TV appearance since marrying rapper Nick Cannon on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The show will tape next Monday and air on next Tuesday.

When asked by people how it feels to be married, Nick said, “It feels amazing. My cheeks hurt from smiling so hard. I’ve been smiling for days.”

Mariah added: It’s comforting–and something I’ve never felt before. Which is really being in love and happy with someone who really understands me and isn’t trying to do anything but make me happy. It’s wonderful.”

Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon Wedding Pictures in PEOPLE

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon exclusive wedding pictures are in the latest issue of People magazine. Mariah Carey, 38, and Nick Cannon, 27, married on April 30 at a sunset ceremony in her Bahamian estate.

“We really do feel we are soulmates,” Mariah says. “I never felt a love like this was in the cards for me.”

Nick adds: “She is beautiful on the outside and 10 times as beautiful on the inside.”

This is the second marriage for Mariah, who was divorced Columbia Records Executive Tommy Mottola in 1998 and the second engagement for Cannon, who split from Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks last year.

Mariah Carey is a hot bikini babe in the latest June issue of Vibe magazine.The inside photo spread features the 39-year-old diva modeling some of the season’s hottest swimwear, which was shot on-location on Eagle’s Landing, a private Caribbean island, where the magazine joined the singer for her big 38th birthday bash.

The New York Post is reporting that Mariah Carey's family is shocked by the her sudden nuptials to Nick Cannon, which was so hurried, that she didn't even bother with a pre-nuptial agreement. Mariah Carey, who is 11 years old than her new husband, has reportedly wed 27-year-old actor and presenter Nick Cannon at her home in the Bahamas after dating him for just one month.

She first sparked rumours when she was seen arriving at the Tribeca Film Festival arm-in-arm with Cannon. When asked what he loved about the multi-millionaire singer and songwriter, Cannon reportedly said "everything". A member of Cannon's family confirmed the report to US website E! News,"If that is what he wants then we are happy for him." Earlier this week Mariah Carey's spokesperson confirmed that the couple had got engaged and now it appears they have wed in secret.

This is the second marriage for Mariah, who was previously married to Columbia Records Executive Tommy Mottola. Her most recent single, Touch My Body, was her 18th number one single, and her latest album, E=MC2, also debuted at No. 1 on the charts.
