Hong Kong, China and Taiwan celebrities walked the red carpet for ELLE Style Award 2008 on 31 October in Shanghai.

Zhang Ziyi, Chinese international star, who was on the cover girl for ELLE's 20th anniversary edition, took the limelight in the event.Karen Mok, Hong Kong actress-singer, in a sexy outfit.
Li Bing Bing, Chinese actress, was glamarous.
Barbie Hsu aka "Big S", Taiwanese host-actress, revealing her sexy bare back in a glittering gown.Dee Hsu aka "Small S", Barbie's sister, was stylish in a sexy black gown.Taiwanese stars, Dee Hsu and Kevin Tsai Kang Yung, hosted the event.

Leon Lai & Zhang Zi Yi at Launch of "Forever Enthralled" Music Video

Hong Kong actor cum singer, Leon Lai, and China actress, Zhang Ziyi, were at the launch of the music video for their new movie "Forever Enthralled" on 21 October. The movie is directed by well-known Chinese director, Chen Kaige of "Farewell Concubine" fame.The poster for "Forever Enthralled" was also unveiled on the same day.Leon Lai and Zhang Ziyi both sang the theme song for the movie. This is Zhang Ziyi's first attempt at singing and director, Chen Kaige, had praised her for the excellent singing.

Torch bearer Jackie Chan, Hong Kong's action star, carries the Olympic Torch during the Olympic Torch Relay on May 4, 2008 in Sanya of Hainan province, China. The Beijing Olympic torch started its first mainland relay Sunday.Jackie Chan, who starred lately in the Hollywood movie "The Forbidden Kingdom" was very proud and excited. He said that as the ambassador of the Beijing Olympics, he will dedicate his time in the second half of the year to the games if needed.
Zhang Ziyi, Chinese international star, is another torch bearer in the Sanya, China. She was seen holding the Olympic torch with her huge diamond ring, reportedly an engagement ring by her American beau.

Zhang Ziyi in Mercedes Benz SLK Commercial

Zhang Ziyi, the Chinese international star of "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and "Memoirs of a Geisha" fame, was recently used as a model in Mercedes Benz SLK TV commercial, entitled “The Contract”, to promote the brand to the wealthy Chinese.

The commercial, which is inspired by the 1978 movie “The Driver”, shows Zhang Ziyi skillfully driving a Mercedes SLK which leaves two shady characters in awe and fear their life at the same time.

The spot was created by chinese agency Ogilvy & Mather, Beijing.

Gillian Chung's New Movie Pictures

Get the first glance of Gillian Chung in her new movie role as a Chinese Opera's wife in "Mei Lan Fang", directed by renowned Chen Kaige of "Farewell My Concubine" fame.
Twins' singer, Gillian Chung's new movie role is supposed to transform her from the girl-next-door image into a "serious" actress. But the Edison Chen's sex photo scandal broke out, and Gillian Chung became the top victim with her explicit splashed all over the internet. The scandal cost her role in the movie to be drastically reduced to a minor cast.
The movie is expected to premiere by end of the year in Asia. The main casts of "Mei Lan Fang" are Leon Lai and Zhang Ziyi.

Zhang Zi Yi embarrassed at the Olympic Lighting Ceremony

Zhang Zi Yi wrote in her blog yesterday that she was upset she was not included as one of the Olympic torchbearer after being shortlisted. The media also suspected that it got to do with an embrassing momemt at the recent Olympic Lighting Cermony held in Olympia, Greece.Apparently, she was invited by the Chinese official to witness the Olympic Lighting Cermony in Olympia, Greece on Monday, 24 March. However, she was only given a media pass instead of a VIP pass. The embrassment came when she was stopped by security officer while trying to enter the Hera Temple where only those with VIP pass could enter.
Though her co-worker tried to explain to the security officer that she is a "Superstar", Zhang Zi Yi was still refused outside the temple and had to follow the main crowd in witnessing the event.

The Beijing Olympic flame was ignited in a traditional sun-ray ceremony at 11:45 a.m. on Monday at the Hera Temple of Ancient Olympia, Greece(See pic below).
